| Job Title: Business Objects BI Architect |
| Description |
| Candidates with at least 5 years experience of Business Objects (BO) platform administration in a large scale clustered BO environment (preferably with connectivity with SAP BW and Microsoft SQL Server / Analysis Services) are invited to apply for this contract with one of our high profile clients.
The role of the BO BI Architect will be to design, document and handover the implementation of the BO platform to the BO support organisation. Monitoring of the BO platform will be required for capacity planning and to ensure service levels are met.
Main responsibilities:
- BOBI 4.0 platform design
- BOBI 4.0 platform performance
- Capacity planning
- Platform governance, standards/best practices
- Platform support organisation (ways of working)
Candidates must be able to demonstrate skill/experience in the following:
- Installation and configuration of Clustered SBOP Enterprise XI 3.x / 4.0 platforms
- Windows 2003/2008 x86/x64 Operating Systems
- Integration with SAP to include SAP SSO, SNC
- Connectivity with SAP BW
- Installation and configuration of CMS and Auditing
- Life Cycle Management
- Installation and configuration of Java Web (Apache/Tomcat)
- WinAD/LDAP/SAP Authentication methodologies and structures
- Hardware specifications for sizing and performance
- High Availability system design
- Synchronized backup solutions
- Monitoring and system alerting
- Capacity planning
- Connectivity – db client installations to support MSAS, SQL Server, Oracle, Essbase
- Packaging the solution (WDEPLOY)
- SDKs for platform extensions
- BO security
- Knowledge of Universe design
The contract is for the duration of 2012, starting as soon as possible. The client's working language is English. |
